Summary:
Intestinal tuberculosis has become uncommon after dairy products pasteurization. However, it is common in endemic regions as well as in immunocompromised patients. Most commonly, intestinal tuberculosis presents in an uncomplicated form and medical management is indicated.
Intestinal bleeding represents a rare complication of intestinal tuberculosis, usually of low- or mild-rate and typically self-limited. In this report, we describe a case of intestinal tuberculosis complicated by massive hemorrhage with surgical management in a patient submitted to renal transplantation.
